From experience we know that high quality cabling is essential to good quality video capture . Problems are best mitigated by:
- using active amplified premium cables
- inserting line amplifiers into the run
- using CAT6 cable extenders for HDMI
- using wireless transmission between the camera and the switcher/encoder.

When measuring cable length please take into account the follow :
- length from camera to floor allowing for the camera to rotate and tilt to it's maximums
- distance over the floor remembering any detours necessary to avoid heavy traffic areas and avoiding objects
- height from floor to table tobe and the distance across the table to the input - allow some slack
