The EC3 electret condenser capsule has an omni-directional pickup (polar) pattern.  In all but the most feedback prone locations, an omni-directional capsule will usually give you as much gain before feedback as a cardioid capsule with way less complicated EQ settings, and a more natural sound.

All Bodymics Broadway and Drury Lane microphones are covered by out replacement warranty for 1 year and 5 days from date of purchase.


​The warranty covers electrical failure and manufacturing defects only.  Any and all damage to cables is not covered.  99% of all warranty claims to date (and that is less than .2% of our sales over the last 2 years were caused by stretch cables or physical damage to booms.

The BE4/BED4 earset uses our EC3 "near invisible" 1/10" omni-directional capsule, built  in the same way as many other wire-frame earset designs from Coundtryman, Shure, dpa, etc.   

This earset has an all silicon sleeve over the earhook portion that is easy to shape to fit securely on the ear of almost any wearer.   

The boom tube is a thin wall aluminum tube and is shapeable to suit any face  - like all but the most expensive units it needs to be treated gently when shaping to avoid breaking the tube.


We can supply in multiple boom lengths - S-4".2", K-3.3" P-2.5" (discontinued but many variants are still in stock) and Q-1.6"

Available with either a permanently attached cable (BE4) or with field replaceable cables (BED4)

STOCK:

  • The "S" has a standard boom at about 4.2" long and suits most adults and children with large heads.
  • The "K" has a 3.3" boom that is great for children or adults with small heads or forward ears.  
  • The "P" has a very short 2.5" boom - stops mid cheek on most wearers - and is perfect for performers with big voices.
  • The "Q" has a tiny 1.5" boom - perfect for presenters who want their face unadorned.

The EC3 electret condenser capsule is mounted, and the cable anchored such that little or no noise is transmitted to the capsule due to cable movement or even the rustle of clothing/costumes.  In extreme circumstances - like a tafferty dress, the normal precaustions should be observed.

The EC3 electret condenser omnidirectional cartridge produces a great natural sounding microphone.  With a nice flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz the BE4 earset is a breeze to equalize to any room and to reproduce the talents voice accurately.

The BE4 earset boom is made using a "springy" aluminum alloy tube that can be reshaped to fit the head of the talent with ease.
