DE3 EARSET FEATURES

The EC3 electret condenser capsule is sealed from moisture, making failures due to sweat or water getting into the microphone almost impossible.

DE3 earsets come with the standard CD5c cable, but are available with any of the following

  • CD5c cable - 1.6mm diameter easy hide
  • CD6c cable - 2.2mm diameter heavy duty cable 
  • CD4c cable - 1.6mm diameter with hardened strain relief

Choose the color that best suits your application.  You can even mix and match earsets and cables if that makes it easier to hide.

The EC2 electret condenser capsule has an omni-directional pickup (polar) pattern.  In all but the most feedback prone locations, an omni-directional capsule will usually give you as much gain before feedback as a cardioid capsule with way less complicated EQ settings, and a more natural sound.

The DE3 earsets are the lowest cost quality Grain of Rice size capsule earsets currently available on the market.  Compares more than favorable than microphones selling for 3, 4, 5, and even 10 times our price.   We are using our premium EC2 capsule with a full 20-20kHz +/- 3dB frequency response.

The microphone has little to no cable /handling noise and a very natural sound.

These mics are about 20% of the cost of the leading microphone in the earset segment, yet in real world situations - on the average school or community theatrical stage - anyone would be hard pressed to hear any difference between them.

The DE3 series is covered by our 12 month replacement warranty policy

  • The "S" has a standard boom at about 4.2" long and suits most adults and children with large heads.
  • The "K" has a 3.3" boom that is great for children or adults with small heads or forward ears.  ​
  • The "Q" has a tiny 1.5" boom - perfect for presenters who want their face unadorned.

​The warranty covers electrical failure and manufacturing defects only.  Any and all damage to cables is not covered.  99% of all warranty claims to date (and that is less than .2% of our sales over the last 2 years were caused by stretch cables or physical damage to booms.

The EC2 electret condenser omnidirectional cartridge produces a great natural sounding microphone.  With a nice flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz the DLF3 is a breeze to equalize to any room and to reproduce the talents voice accurately.

The EC2 electret condenser capsule is mounted, and the cable anchored such that little or no noise is transmitted to the capsule due to cable movement or even the rustle of clothing/costumes.  In extreme circumstances - like a tafferta dress, the normal precautions should be observed.
