The BE4 earset boom is made using a "springy" aluminum alloy tube that can be reshaped to fit the head of the talent with ease.  

The boom can be re-shaped hundreds of times if you follow the guidelines in the above video.

The EC3 electret condenser capsule is sealed from moisture, making failures due to sweat or water getting into the microphone almost impossible.

We use 6 connectors (only 4 pictured) that fit most of the common wireless microphone brands - Note the various manufacturers wire these connectors differently.  We can supply the connector and wiring you need.

The BED4 Single Earhook Headworn Microphone is a version of our BE4 with a field replaceable cable. Since cables are the cause of most failures this is a cost effective option.

 The BED4 uses our EC3 capsule with a flat 20-20kHz frequency response (previously used in the Keira series earsets).

We have kept the price down. At aroundn $65.00 (for most variants)  it represents unbelievable value for money. That's about 15% of the cost of the leading microphone in the earset segment, yet in real world situations - on a theatrical stage - anyone would be hard pressed to hear any difference between them.

Our standard (and only) cable option is just under 1/16" in diameter and is very easy to hide in a costume or wig or hair.  The down side is that it is a little fragile when handled roughly - bodypack drops, tugging when removing a costume or wrapping cable around the bodypack transmitter.

• The BED4S has a standard boom is about 4.2" long and suits most adults and children with large heads.

The EC3 electret condenser capsule is mounted, and the cable anchored such that little or no noise is transmitted to the capsule due to cable movement or even the rustle of clothing/costumes.  In extreme circumstances - like a tafferty dress, the normal precaustions should be observed.

The EC3 electret condenser capsule has an omni-directional pickup (polar) pattern.  In all but the mostfeedback prone locations, an omni-directional capsule will usually give you as much gain before feedback as a cardioid capsule with way less complicated EQ settings, and a more natural sound.

All Bodymics Broadway and Drury Lane microphones are covered by out replacement warranty for 1 year and 5 days from date of purchase.

​The warranty covers electrical failure and manufacturing defects only.  Any and all damage to cables is not covered.  99% of all warranty claims to date (and that is less than .2% of our sales over the last 2 years were caused by stretch cables or physical damage to booms.

If your earset stops working it will almost certainly be caused by the cable being damaged.  This is a result of the extremely thin cable all earset manufacturers use in order to make the cable as invisible as possible - a thin cable is susceptible to abuse. The two most common causes - dropping the bodypack with the microphone connected and attached to the ear; or wrapping the cable around the bodypack when storing the microphone.

So being able to replace the cable becomes a cost effective way of extending the life of your earset investment. On average the microphone/boom assembly will out last 8-10 replacement cables.  If you had to replace the microphone 7 times you may spend $390 but if you can replace the cable 7 times at $27.00 per cable you will spend $264.
