The BE5 earset boom is made using a "springy" aluminum alloy tube that can be reshaped to fit the head of the talent with ease. The boom can be re-shaped hundreds of times if you follow the guidelines in the above video.

All BE5 series earsets are available in cream or black, making it even easier to "hide" the microphone against the skin. You can also apply makeup over the boom and capsule housing to get it even closer to skin color. Just make sure that no makeup gets into the capsule opening.

The EC13 electret condenser capsule produces a great natural sounding microphone. With a nice flat frequency response from 50Hz to 15kHz the BE5 earset is a breeze to equalize to any room and to reproduce the talents voice accurately.

The BE5 earsets are available in three (3) boom lengths. The BE5 has a standard boom is about 4.2" long and suits most adults and children with large heads. The BE5K has a 3.3" boom that is great for children or adults with small heads or forward ears. The BE5P has a very short 2.3" boom - stops mid cheek on most wearers - and is perfect for performers with big voices or for professional speakers in controlled environments where feedback is not an issue.

Easy to Reshape the Boom & Earhook
The BE5 earset is the lowest cost quality earset currently available on the market. It is manufacture in China specifically for us, using mainly off the shelf components that we have selected for quality vs. value. This has produced a microphone that may look like many others available directly from other vendors - mostly direct from Asia - it performs better.
We have kept the price down. At less than $40.00 for most connector/wiring configurations it represents unbelievable value for money. That's about 10% of the cost of the leading microphone in the earset segment, yet in real world situations - on a theatrical stage - anyone would be hard pressed to hear any difference between them.
